The Star Online: Bus owner still unperturbed after 75 summonses

Sigh, despite creating parking space for heavy vehicles, they still refuse to park there and insist on creating congestion and unease in neighborhoods. The parking lot at TP2 is just less than 5mins away from his house in USJ12

Joining the Senior Citizens of Subang Jaya for Lunch

Last Sunday, 24th January, I joined the Senior Citizens Club of Subang Jaya for their luncheon even at Lakeview Club as a councillor of MPSJ as well as representing ADUN Subang Jaya YB Hannah Yeoh.

In my speech, I highlighted

Making roads safer - Junction of USJ11/6 & Persiaran Perpaduan

Last year, some residents of USJ11 highlighted the dangerous junction at USJ11/6 & Persiaran Perpaduan, where you can turn right coming out of USJ11 towards MPSJ's field. There has been a lot of accidents at that said junction, due to
  1. Illegal u-turns
  2. Right turns out of USJ11 towards MPSJ can't really see the fast on-coming traffic.

A site visit was done November last year with the 3 neighboring resident association, USJ5, USJ11/3 & USJ11/4 and the Jawatankuasa Penduduk Zon 3 representatives. During the discussion, it was agreed by all 3 RA that the right turn to come out of USJ11 towards MPSJ should be disallowed

Following that, this matter was brought to MPSJ's Infrastructure meeting in December, and a decision was made to close the right turn, allowing only turns into USJ11. Those from USJ11 who need to turn right towards MPSJ from USJ11/6 can consider turning left from USJ11/5 into Persiaran Bakti or u-turn at the traffic lights at Persiaran Tujuan.

The implementation was completed in January. However, there has been complaints that the road opening is too narrow.

Another site visit with MPSJ Engineering was done. The reason it is narrow, its because to prevent cars from USJ11 from turning right, as well as to prevent illegal u-turns. The standard for turning openings is 4.2m, and what's on site is at the narrowest point 4.5m, at other points 4.8m.
