Does the resurfacing include the road shoulders?
Currently, the road shoulders in USJ2/5 have been eroded due to heavy flow of rain water down the streets.
As a result, pot holes were created with stagnant water which is an ideal condition for mosquitoes to breed.
Hi CJ DAP,
Road shoulder means the grass between the road and the drain... Are you referring to this?
Please include road shoulders in the contract. Without these, the road side edges will damage easily.
Rajiv,
What about the roads in the residential areas around USJ 2 and USJ 6? The roads have NEVER BEEN RESURFACED since I move in more than 15 years ago. The roads are in a terrible condition. We are NOT ASKING FOR THE MOON but WHY are other roads left out?????
I am a resident of USJ6 and was so happy when I read in The Sun that the roads in USJ 2 and 6 will be resurfaced after staying there for the past 15 years. Why only USJ6/1 is being resurfaced??? Does this means that others in USJ 6 don't pay assessment to MPSJ???? This is the 2nd time I am writing, you can CONTINUE NOT TO POST AND I WILL CONTINUE TO WRITE.
True, not all roads are resurfaced. But with the limited funds we have, we try our best to cover as much as possible.
I have fought and will continue to do so for more allocations for road resurfacing.
Hi Rajiv,
I live in Tempua 15, Bandar Puchong Jaya, recently some road work contractors came offering anything between 5-600 to surface the road in front of our porch leading to the main road. I found out houses in Bangsar are done up to the porch and they have a letter from MPKL to prove it. Can I ask if MPSJ also does it? Why do we have to pay for resurfacing the road outside our gate if that belongs to the government.
Thank you
Andrew S William
Dear Andrew,
In MPSJ, due to a tight budget, and to maximize value, MPSJ has decided some time back that road resurfacing will not include driveways. Some houses have tarred road driveways, others have driveways using other materials. Ultimately, its the owners responsibility to maintain their respective driveways.
