Sadly, KESAS is not cooperating on this matter. They insist that MPSJ should foot the bill, which is likely to be more than RM100,000. This is just not logical - no where does a local government foot such bills on behalf of highway operators, when it is their highway, their customers, clearly their responsibility to do so.

Move a SmartTag lane to the left
I AM a daily user of the Kesas Highway to get to and from work. I have written to the Kesas authorities via LSA_Web@kesas.com.my regarding the SmartTag lanes at the Sunway Toll Plaza (heading towards USJ, Shah Alam and Klang).
Currently both SmartTag lanes are located at the extreme right of the toll plaza. Vehicles exiting these lanes have to cut across to the left to enter the exit ramp to the USJ 1/Subang Permai area amid speeding traffic also exiting the toll plaza from the cash and Touch ’n Go lanes. This is a dangerous move and there have been narrow misses. I should know as I am one of those who has to make these dangerous manoeuvres on a daily basis.
In my emails, I have suggested that one of the SmartTag lanes be relocated to the left to cater to users who need to take the exit ramp to USJ 1/Subang Permai.
Unfortunately, it has been more than a year and there has been no change to the status quo.
The current scenario is an accident waiting to happen. Is it that difficult to relocate a lane or is customer safety not a priority? We are paying customers and Kesas has a duty of care to ensure our safety.
To those in a position to do something, please exercise your authority do so. Be pro-active and not react only when something happens. It will be too late then.
