Traffic lights:
J10 - Tujuan/SS19
J11 - Tujuan/Pers Murni (USJ2)
J24 - Tujuan/Pers Perpaduan (USJ5&11)
J25 - Tujuan/Pers Setia (USJ12 School)
Yesterday, 4th Feb, the new timings were introduced at J10 for AM peak
Before 730am - 30secs right turn to SS19, 180secs straight out from USJ
After 730am - 20secs right turn to SS19, 180secs straight out from USJ
Observations
2. Before 8am, massive jam at J25. This will looked at, to be adjusted again soon.
3. Before 730am, some backlog on J10, turning into SS19. However, I feel its still managable. We'll keep this until CNY and see how this go.
4. After 730am, J10 turning into SS19 no issues.
5. Around 745-8am, Tujuan backlog from NPE/Sunway. While J10 is green from USJ towards Subang Jaya, not that many cars can move because of this backlog. Need to sort out jam in front of pyramid, which means jam at federal highway motorala interchange.
6. 8am to 830am traffic gets better, and by 830 the backlog is back to J10, but this time from federal highway. At this time, heavy traffic on Tujuan all the way back to USJ12. But at this point, the problem is no longer the 4 lights in USJ & SS19. The problem is Federal Highway / NPE.
Action plan, on Subang Jaya side
1. Sort J24 and J25 AM peak, some improvements can be made.
2. Sort out light at Persiaran Setia, at TP1, to allow longer u-turn time for USJ12 residents go exit using USJ12/1
3. Sort out IKRAM's suggestion for Kewajipan - get that moving.
Action plan, which needs involvment of more parties
1. Solve traffic jam infront of pyramid. This is a really tough one. Force those cars on the right lane to use NPE and cannot cut into LDP?
2. Find a way to divert more cars towards Subang Kelana Link, probably making it smoother from Pers Tujuan to Pers Kemajuan so they can board Kelana Link in front of Carrefour.

What about traffic in the evening or rather late afternoon from 4 pm to 9pm. Traffic is congested even at 9pm!!!!!!!!!! At SS19 the traffic from the chinese school is the main cause of congestion/making u turn & slow traffic after the ss19 traffic light , please heeeeeeeeelp!!!!!!!!!!!!! do somethinggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!
Could we please, please, remove the pedestrian crossing traffic light at SS19? It's ridiculous to stop a 6-lane main road with traffic lights just like that.
I agree with Wong's comment on the problems caused by the SS19 pedestrian crossing traffic lights. Whether one is going out of Subang or coming back from Federal Highway, this one light alone can cause congestion all the way up to Fed Highway. Further, the bus stops just before the traffic light (if it is coming from Fed Highway). This bus lane does not veer off to the left; in other words, the bus stops on the road, causing other vehicles to stop behind it. The SS19 traffic light does not make sense for ruch hour vehicles to stop just so that a few pedestrians can cross the road. A better bet will be to provide a overhead. Can we also widen the bus stop lane so that when it stops, it stops on the road side as opposed to on the road? Rgds
Dear Tan,
We've extended the PM peak hour timings from 6-8pm to now 4:30 to 8:30pm. We'll continue to monitor and adjust accordingly if still needed.
Dear Wong & Shanker,
The pedestrian timing at SS19 traffic light has already been removed during the morning and evening peak hours
